Matthew Brower is a culture sector leader. His practice focuses on the role of culture in shaping human understandings and relationships with the world. He has published broadly on art and culture, curated a wide range of exhibitions, and supervised a broad spectrum of art, culture and heritage projects. He has over 15 years of experience working and volunteering in the cultural and heritage fields.
Yonder opening UWAG
He has produced a several major international exhibitions of contemporary art and culture. These projects include a Canadian Focus exhibition for the Beijing Biennale to commemorate the 45th anniversary of normalizing relations between Canada and China and a two-site project between the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art and UTAC for the CONTACT Festival that explored contemporary photography’s ability to document and intervene in contemporary politics of space.
